What are five things that make you unique?
Submitted by RA<3TA.
I really don't dilude myself into thinking that parts of me are unique. I think it's everything put together and a little touch of something untouchable that makes each person unique. However, I'll list some things about me that are unusual.
1. I love frozen peas. They make a great snack, a great side dish, a great dessert. They are all-around yum nom-nom-nom.
2. I write sideways even though I'm right-handed. Often, I turn the paper/notebook so sideways that it's nearly upside down. It's just always been the way I wrote.
3. I had an eye surgery when I was five. I have a great scar across my eyelid. But most people don't see it unless I show them since the surgeon was kind enough to make sure it fell in the crease of my eye. So I have the coolness factor of being able to show off a big scar without the drawback of it being easily seen.
4. Loose joints. So that comes with all the cool things of being able to pull my thumb back to my wrist, touch my thumb and pinkie finger over my hand, and even at my (not twiggy) weight almost put my ankles behind my head. It also comes with the drawbacks of my ankles sometimes sliding out of place and causing some really bad twists or for my wrists to be injured by being too loose or even my back to get injured if I don't hold it right.
5. I see the world through the eyes of a writer. I notice things. I think of people in terms of poetry and character. I catalogue all the senses to every experience. And I think of words in terms of texture, sounds as taste, music as color.
What is one thing you MUST do before you go to bed at night?
Take off my bra. Otherwise, the evil spirits that live in the underwire strangle me in my sleep. They are a vindictive lot.
Share a song you and your mother both love.
What's the worst thing that could happen to you today? Bonus question: How would that thing potentially benefit you?
I hate this question. Please, I do not need one more reason to be paranoid that someone is trying to steal my cup!
Here's one for the ladies: What's in your handbag right now?

Well, I'm kind of shy but I'll share. Let me grab my purse.
OK. Let's see. Um...a half-eaten candy bar. 3 credit cards. One for Maria Espinosa. One for Laura Heedley. One for Kamberly Simpson. The one for Maria has my favorite picture of me though on its ID so I use that one the most this week. Then the IDs to go with the other ones. Some tictacs and a handful of receipts I still need to go through. A couple Maxi-pads. My Gottschalks card. A list of addresses that I still need to send late christmas cards to. Well a sandwhich baggie of Harry Potter themed Ecstacy. I only have one of those left so I need to restock it soon but I haven't seen it in the stores lately. Do you guys have any idea where I could get some more? Running so low makes me nervous. Luckily, I think I have a couple stashed in one of my pumps in the closet. My keys. Pre-paid cellphone. A razor that is getting a little dull. I need to replace that too but Walmart recognizes me now so that might be hard. Prayer Beads. A toe ring. My .380 ACP semi-auto, of course. Never leave the house without it. 6 passports held together with a rubber band. I keep what I can in ziplock bags because my lotion has exploded before. Vanilla scented, naturally. I love this stuff. You can get it at Rite-Aid. Then my pocket-sized book of the Bill of Rights. Half a piece of gum. A pack of band-aids. Some lint and an article I tore out of a magazine in a doctor's office.
Yep, that's it!
Wait no. My messed-up sense of humor was stuck to the bottom but it's definitely in there too.
2008 is the Year of the Rat. Which animal year were you born in?
The Year of the Tiger, same as my mother. I've always found this some little bit great.
I think the description of people born in this year is a lot like me. Though there are a couple that I don't think are.
Tiger people are sensitive, given to deep thinking, capable of great sympathy. They can be extremely short-tempered, however. Other people have great respect for them, but sometimes tiger people come into conflict with older people or those in authority. sometimes Tiger people cannot make up their minds, which can result in a poor, hasty decision or a sound decision arrived at too late. They are suspicious of others, but they are courageous and powerful. Tigers are most compatible with Horses, Dragons, and Dogs

How do you keep calm?
Submitted by L33tchica.
Several different ways since I am prone to panic attacks.
Quiet environment - my first choice is always to just relocate somewhere that is quiet that I can be alone and calm down in. Sometimes, I'll watch a little TV. The Discovery or History Channel is especially good for this. I am hyper-alert to sound so I turn off everything I can and usually have someone else watch the kids around me for a little while since their voices are at the perfect deciblel to drive me up a wall if I'm already half-way there.
Visualization - I visualize the feeling that is overwhelming me and locking it away in a huge vault. I've tried imagining it as something that can be destroyed but it always seems like it would just be remade into something else. Burn it and it turns into ash that gets into the air. That kind of thing. So instead, I imagine locking it away in a huge vault that I don't know the combination to. Usually helps a bit.
Breathing techniques - I force myself to measure my breathing. I usually count to eight and each time I start over, I force myself to count slower until eventually I am calmer.
Atarax/Benedryl - my last resort is atarax/benedryl to help calm me down. Unfortunately, all benzodiasipines (valium, klonopin, xanax) do not cause my system to react like most people. Instead of calming me down, it causes me to become more anxious and hyper-alert.
Sleep/Cry - A good cry and nap does wonders.
If you could ask any question in the world and get a true answer, who and what would you ask?
Submitted by jaypo.
I wouldn't want to ask. Because I have a rule, I don't ask a question unless I'm ready for the answer to be what I wouldn't want it to be. That doesn't mean that I don't ask questions unless they give me a happy answer. I just don't ask questions that might tear me apart, that I couldn't recover from, that I couldn't grow from. And any question that I would choose in that situation would be so important that should it be answered in a way I wouldn't want, it could destroy me. If it were answered like how I wanted, well I'm already living my life according to that. So I already have my answer and it works for me.
